London has been rocked by another day of violence after two men were shot and another was stabbed. The separate horror attacks follow “a week of murders” in which eight people have been killed. The latest attack struck the capital Friday night when two men were shot with a gun.
The horror incident outside Mile End Underground station sparked a major armed police response at 10.35pm. Both men, in their 20s, were rushed to hospital in ambulances where they now remain in a stable condition. Their injuries were not thought to be life threatening, and no arrests have yet been made.
The shooting came just hours after a man was left fighting for life after being stabbed in Lambeth. Officers were scrambled to the scene on Kennington Road – near to the Oval cricket ground – at 11.38am. A 30-year-old man now remains in hospital in critical condition. Both incidents come follow a terrifying week of attacks that have left eight people dead.
