Iain Lee has been slammed for his ‘disrespectful’ Jim Bowen tribute on Good Morning Britain.
The radio host was supposed to be reading out Twitter tributes from celebrities but used the platform to take a swipe at comedian Jim Davidson.
Iain refused to read out Jim’s tribute on air, later revealing in a series of tweets that someone close to him worked with the comedian in the 90s and he ‘made their life miserable’.
But Iain was blasted by viewers for singling out Jim, who escalated the feud on Twitter, and turning the attention away from the late Bullseye host.
Speaking on GMB, Iain said: “Loads of tributes from lots of famous people. Who have we got here?”
He read out a tweet from Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness but suddenly came to a halt.
Iain said: “Jim Davidson said something but I’m not really interested in him.
Confused Susanna Reid asked: “Why not? He’s one of those comedy legends?”
Defending his position, Iain replied: “I mean lets have this debate on another…Frank Bruno tweeted.”
After hearing what happened live on air, Jim Davidson took to Twitter to question what the issue was.
He tweeted: “So a bloke called Iain Lee has refused to read out my tribute to Jim Bowen on GMB whats his problem? And who is this t**?”
