It’s time to get your snow shovels out again as the Met Office has confirmed “Beast from the East 3” is on. The bone-chilling Arctic weather conditions will sweep Britain again next week in time for the Easter weekend. It will unleash teeth-chattering -8C temperatures as persistent rain turns to heavy snow in England, Scotland and Wales.
“If you thought spring was imminent, you’re in for a bit of a shock,” Met Office forecaster Alex Deakin said. He added: “Are we going to see the return of the snowfalls? With it turning so cold then yes, we are likely to see at least some and it could be on the heavy side.”
The snow is set to follow raging winds and rain being unleashed by a storm on Monday and comes after a double-whammy of Beasts from the East. Currently forecast maps show most of the snow will fall in northern England and Scotland as temperatures plummet from Thursday through to the following week. Bookmaker Coral is now offering odds of 4/5 on snow falling on any major city over the Easter weekend.
