Tina Malone Faces JAIL After Identifying Jon Venables Online

Former Shameless actress Tina Malone is reportedly facing jail after allegedly identifying James Bulger’s killer Jon Venables online.

Venables, who is currently in prison serving a 40-month sentence for possession of over 1,200 images of child abuse as well as owning a paedophile manual, was granted lifelong anonymity when he left prison at 18 for the murder of two-year-old James Bulger when he was 10.

According to The Daily Star on Sunday, 55-year-old Tina allegedly revealed Venables’ new identity online – but had no idea it was illegal to do so.

The Liverpudlian star, who was previously an ambassador for The James Bulger Memoryial Trust, told the publication: “I didn’t have a clue it was illegal. What are you going to do – prosecute me for posting a picture?
