BUCKETS of snow will be tipped on Britain this weekend as a deep cold front dubbed the Beast From The East 2 sweeps in — bringing blizzards and 20cm drifts.
Power cuts and travel disruption is expected as a -7C wind chill follows the mid-week washout.
The chilly snap brings fears we will see the kind of cold and disruption experienced last month – with four days of yellow weather warnings already in place.
Large accumulations will form on high ground, while even lower levels will see snow settle Friday night across Scotland and the east of England as far south as London and Kent.
On Sunday areas around the Thames estuary and the south east could see further snowfall – and a seperate yellow weather warning is in place.
As the wet weather continues for the country there are currently 12 flood warnings in the southwest.
Large swathes of the UK will see snow — but it is not expected to be as bad as the weather which swept in at the end of February.
