Singer Linda Nolan, who shot to fame alongside her sisters in The Nolans, has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.

The 65-year-old died peacefully in hospital this morning, “embraced with love” and with her siblings by her side, her agent Dermot McNamara confirmed in a statement.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan, the celebrated Irish pop legend, television personality, Guinness World Record-holding West End star, Sunday Times bestselling author and Daily Mirror columnist,” he said.
