ITV News reporter Emily Morgan has died, the broadcaster has announced.
The 45-year-old – who was the channel’s health and science editor – passed away following a short battle with lung cancer, ITN said.
In a statement on Twitter, the news network said they were “devastated” by the passing of their “remarkable colleague”.
They added: “Emily was a hugely talented journalist and a much-loved friend and mentor to so many here. She will be greatly missed.
“Our thoughts are with Emily’s family.”
The mum had worked for ITN for 23 years and reported from hospital wards during the COVID-19 pandemic.
