Five people from the same family have perished in a horrific blaze in Hounslow, west London, with one person still missing as 70 firefighters grappled with the inferno.
The fire ignited on the night of Sunday 13th November. One man managed to escape the residence before the fire brigade arrived and had to be promptly transported to the hospital. Firefighters, demonstrating remarkable bravery, entered the flat and discovered an additional five people on the first floor.
All were pronounced dead at the scene. Alarmingly, one person remains unaccounted for. Approximately 70 firefighters hastened to the scene as the ground floor and first floors of a mid-terraced house were engulfed by flames. A section of the roof also suffered damage.
The London Fire Brigade received the call at 10:26 pm and dedicated hours to battling the fire, finally bringing it under control by 1:25 am.
