Girl, 2, fighting for life in hospital after horror moped crash in London

Police are appealing for witnesses after a two-year-old girl was seriously injured in a moped collision in Acton.

The girl remains in hospital in a critical condition after she was hit by the moped at just after 8.30pm on Tuesday (June 8). 

The child was injured while crossing the road with her family at traffic lights, police said. 

The incident happened at the junction of The Vale on Uxbridge Road and Agnes Road, in Acton, West London. 

Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.

“A two-year-old girl was found with injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition,” a spokesperson for the Met Police said. 

“Her next of kin has been informed.”

Detective Sergeant Nush Puvitharan, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The incident happened as the girl and her family were crossing the street at traffic lights while other vehicles waited.”
