Richard Hammond has announced that he has separated from his wife of 23 years, Mindy, but stated that they are “proud” of the family they have built together.

The Grand Tour star, 55, and journalist Mindy, 59, married in 2002 and have two daughters, Isabelle, 24, and Willow, 21.

Richard revealed their separation in a statement on X, explaining that they had spent Christmas together as a family but would be “structured differently” in the New Year.

He described their relationship as “amazing” and emphasised that they would “always be in each other’s lives.”

The former Top Gear presenter did not provide a reason for the split and added that they would “not be commenting further.”
