Police have launched a manhunt after a woman was raped in broad daylight by two men at a nature reserve. The horrific assault took place at 8am on Monday in Alcott Woods, off Moorend Avenue in Chelmsley Wood, near Solihull.

The victim, who has not been identified, is currently being supported by specially trained officers. The beauty spot, situated just north of Birmingham Airport, has been cordoned off today.

Forensic officers, wearing white overalls and carrying evidence bags, have been seen taking photographs at the area where the double rape is alleged to have taken place.
