Charing Cross has been occupied by pro-Palestinian protesters, preventing passengers from boarding trains and entering the station.

Demonstrators gathered at the London station for the latest in a series of sit-in protests, following similar actions in Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.

Train stations in Manchester and Nottingham were also occupied on Saturday as rallies took place across the UK.

British Transport Police reported that the protest at Charing Cross had hindered passengers from boarding trains and accessing platforms, leading to the temporary closure of the station on safety grounds.

Earlier at Piccadilly Circus, three individuals were arrested. One was detained for allegedly displaying a placard that could incite hatred, while two others were arrested for public order offenses.
