The A69 in Northumberland has been shut down as emergency services respond to a multi-vehicle crash.
Northumbria Police were alerted to the collision near the roundabout with the A68 by Corbridge at about 09:00 GMT on Thursday.
The police force mentioned that both eastbound and westbound lanes would stay closed for several hours. It is not yet clear if any individuals have sustained injuries in the crash.
Police recommended drivers to explore alternative routes where feasible.
