Marvin Levy has died at the age of 96; he was the long-time adviser to Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

The publicist, who worked on the marketing campaigns for countless legendary films, passed away on 7 April in Los Angeles.

Steven Spielberg wrote in a statement: “Marvin’s passing is a huge loss for me and our industry writ large. There are many talented PR executives, but Marvin was one of a kind.”
