A Strictly Come Dancing star was rushed to hospital after experiencing a concerning issue with his eyes.

Russell Grant, astrologer and a 2011 contestant on the BBC show, has revealed that he woke up earlier this week with “strange cottony things floating” in his left eye. He explained that he was rushed to hospital to see the eye clinic, where he was told there was a bleed behind his eye. However, doctors warned him that he would have to get used to the floating bits, as there was no cure.

Taking to Twitter, he updated fans on what had happened, sharing: “Monday: I woke with strange cottony things floating in my left eye. Headed to the opticians for tests. Next day @BlackpoolHosp called: day after into the eye clinic. Result: I had a bleed behind my eye but no retinal damage but it seems I have to befriend the floater! No cure.”

Back in March 2023, Russell revealed he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He regularly updates fans about his condition, and last June, he shared that he might have returned to being diabetic.
