FOUR men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was found dead with gunshot wounds and head injuries.
The 18-year-old died in hospital on Tuesday after being discovered near a canal in the Nechells area of Birmingham in the early hours of the previous morning.
Three 19-year-old men and one 33-year-old are all in custody awaiting questioning, police confirmed.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “An 18-year-old man was discovered with head injuries on a towpath off Mount Street at just after 12.15am on Monday.
“He was taken to hospital but sadly died on Tuesday.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this devastating time, and we will be doing all we can to offer support.”
