A two-week-old child has been killed after a car crashed into the baby’s pram.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after the tragedy.
West Midlands Police said a BMW crashed into another car on Brownhills High Street, Walsall, before colliding with the baby’s pram.
The baby boy was being pushed along the pavement in a pram by his family when the car hit him.
A relative also suffered a shoulder injury in the crash.
The driver of the BMW left the scene but a man was arrested in Bloxwich shortly afterwards, West Midlands Police say.
